528 Artistic Stigmata
The stigmata is a condition that appears in the most devout of catholics. Holy marks of the crucifiction appear on an individual spontaneously and without the aid of any physical causes. These individuals inflicted with the stigmata are said to be closer to the divine than anyone else thus they are more sensitive to the evil of the world. Perhaps these people are experiencing the true nature of the world. The real world, the one that exists behind all of its fascades. All of this ugliness is taken in by these people and the stigmata is the physical reaction that appears on the body.
