The male angler fish is 1/10th the size of the female. The male attaches itself to the female with specialized teeth. After a few months the male becomes completely fused with the female and they are to spend the rest of their lives this way. The male gets all its nutrients from the females blood while the female gets an endless supply of sperm. Despite their menacing appearance it seems that the anglerfish is one that believes in matrimony.
