107 Wild Thing Within Me

I just saw the preview for Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are". I just had to draw something of this. I love the book and the movie looks like it does a great job with the story and the look. Tonight's drawing is done in ball point pen in order to honor the nice cross hatching and delicate lines of Sendak's illustrative style.

  1. Maybe you should think of doing a book too.

And I agree with Sheila: A book that has all your drawings in there would be really cool!

  4. Rolfe, thanks for yr nice words. it's glad to see yr support for drawing :) i don't know if i can draw as good as you but i can give it a try :) i'm not sure though...

as for the story i've written -- it was just a moment to write it. i've never written stories before. this is really the first one. and it was quite fast to write it. in fifteen minutes or so i'm not sure. i don't know why i wrote something like that. it just came into my mind suddenly. i don't remember if i've experienced personally something like that but i didn't write the story out of an experience. i wrote it thinking nothing actually. but it may be subconscious or something i don't know. i remember being rejected in high school once like this but the way it happened is not the same with the story. they're different. so i don't know. i just wrote it that's all...lol.

    thanks for appreciating it...
